Tracy Cooper MSW, LSW

In my career, I have worked with many populations and have enjoyed helping empower my clients to reach their goals. Being trained to address trauma, I understand how it can impact someone’s life and understand the importance of how the experiences in someone’s life can have a lasting impact. I also try to provide a safe accepting environment that is nonjudgmental.
I have a history of co-facilitating DBT groups. I think that the skills that DBT provides a good baseline of skills to build on. I also enjoy using CBT to change my client’s negative thought patterns. I try to use the skills that I have learned over the last several years to help my client reach their goals.
I have a Master’s degree in social work from Aurora University. Though I have finished school I continue to expand my skills and my techniques through continuing education. It is through these opportunities I grow my therapeutic techniques to ensure that the clients I work with can develop different skills to assist with meeting their goals.
